Install appliances, such as cooktops, lower so individuals using walkers and wheelchairs can access and use the appliances with ease.
Change to cooking appliances with controls at the front to prevent accidental burns from reaching across burners to adjust the temperature.
Try a side-hinge or French-door wall oven for ease of use.
Consider switching from a full range to a cooktop and wall oven. Because they’re separate pieces they can be installed at a lower level for easy accessibility.

Choose laundry pairs with front controls so reaching across the entire machine isn’t necessary.
If laundry pairs are currently stacked, placing them side-by-side make it easier for those with limited mobility.
