The warm shades of the fall; the falling leaves’ oranges, yellows, dark greens and browns create a beautiful visual that can inspire. You can use the inspiration and incorporate these accents in your own home. If you don’t want to make major changes for the fall, you can bring wonderful hues of autumn into your rooms and we have a few ideas for you.
Add a little flair to any room with a pop of green. We love plants, but if you want to add a bit of drama, try a green chair! When you do, make sure you’re adding it to a room where there are a lot of neutral colours; try to avoid having too many colours in one room if you’re adding a statement item like a green chair.
Similar to the green chair, you can give dimension to the room and make a statement with some luxurious curtains, just make sure to pair colours well and avoid faux pas colour combinations.
If you’re looking for adding items that are even more temporary than a chair or curtains, try playing with the different colours of throws. A blue sofa like the one below could use a yellow throw.
Or maybe a phone on a side table
Neutral colours like grey can handle stark oranges and shades of yellow. Much like throws, cushions can also give a room a new look without having to make any drastic changes.
You can also add fall colours in your picture frames in a subtle way that still adds a bit of colour to the room.
We’ve also found this great blog post of DIY pressed botanical art where you can learn how to put fall leaves in frames and use as fall décor.
