ENERGY STAR® certified appliances can help you save money by improving your home’s energy efficiency without sacrificing performance. For a list of qualifying ENERGY STAR® models, you can visit the BC Hydro website or visit a Trail Appliances near you and talk to one of our product experts.
When you upgrade to an ENERGY STAR® appliance, you can save up to $300 by taking advantage of the special rebates! See below to learn more about the available rebates and how to apply.
BC Hydro Rebate
BC Hydro is offering rebates on the purchase of select ENERGY STAR® clothes washers, dryers and refrigerators.
$50 rebate on select ENERGY STAR® clothes washers
$25 or $100 rebate on select ENERGY STAR® dryers
$25 or $100 rebate on select ENERGY STAR® refrigerators

Trail Appliances & Manufacturer Rebate
When you purchase an appliance from Trail Appliances, you can get up to $300 in rebates on qualifying Samsung ENERGY STAR® appliances and up to $200 in rebates on qualifying LG ENERGY STAR® appliances.
Municipality Clothes Washer Rebate
With the additional municipality rebate, customers who live in participating municipalities are also eligible for a municipal rebate on select ENERGY STAR® certified appliances purchased between October 4th to November 29th! Click here to view a complete list of the participating municipalities.
How to Apply
BC Hydro’s convenient one-time application process makes it easy for you to receive all the rebates that you qualify for.
Step 1: Ensure that your appliance is listed on BC Hydro’s Efficient Appliances List.
Step 2: Apply for your rebate(s) within 60 days of purchase using BC Hydro’s simple application steps:
Complete the online application on the BC Hydro website and upload a copy of your proof of purchase.
You can choose to receive your rebate back by cheque or by credit to your BC Hydro bill.
Track your rebate by using the Appliance Rebate Tracker and the reference number found in your confirmation email.
