Surf & Turf Kabob

<p><img style="float: right;" src="https://www.trailappliances.com/media/wysiwyg/blog/june-11-surf-turf-beef.jpg" alt="Surf & Turf Kabob" width="226" height="340"></p> <p><em><strong>Beef Kabobs</strong></em></p> <p>6 oz. sirloin, cut into 1-inch pieces<br>1 red onion cut into 1-inch pieces                                  <br>6 button mushrooms</p> <p><em>Marinade:</em><br>2 tablespoons olive oil<br>2 tablespoons red wine<br>½ teaspoon prepared mustard<br>½ teaspoon lemon juice<br>½ teaspoon red wine vinegar<br>½ teaspoon horseradish<br>¼ teaspoon salt<br>½ teaspoon freshly ground black pepper<br>½ teaspoon onion powder<br>1 garlic clove, minced<br>1 sprig of fresh rosemary, finely chopped</p> <p>Combine all marinade ingredients and marinate sirloin for at least 2 hours up to 12 hours.</p> <p>Thread beef onto skewer alternating with pieces of onion and mushroom (these can be assembled a few hours before and then held in the fridge).</p> <p>Cook on your grill over medium to medium-high heat turning once to create nice grilling marks. It should take about 3 minutes per side.</p> <p>Makes 2 kabobs</p> <p><img style="float: right;" src="https://www.trailappliances.com/media/wysiwyg/blog/p1010774edited.jpg" alt="Surf & Turf Kabob" width="387" height="290"></p> <p><em><strong>Shrimp & Scallop Kabobs</strong></em></p> <p>6 large shrimp, peeled & deveined<br>6 large sea scallops                                                                    <br>1 shallot cut into 1-inch pieces</p> <p><em>Marinade:</em><br>1 tablespoon sesame oil<br>2 tablespoons olive oil<br>1 lemon, zested & juice squeezed from half<br>Pinch of fresh black pepper<br>1 garlic clove, minced<br>1 teaspoon fresh dill, chopped</p> <p>Combine all ingredients and allow seafood to marinate for at least 1 hour up to 3 hours.</p> <p>Thread shrimp, scallops and shallots alternating onto the skewers, if necessary, these can be assembled and held in the fridge for an hour ahead of time.</p> <p>Cook on your grill over medium to medium-high heat turning once to create nice grilling marks. Season with a bit of salt and pepper before serving.</p> <p>Makes 2 kabobs</p> <p><em><strong>Enjoy!</strong></em></p>
